This @teeling_whiskey is made with 100% malt whiskeys. A selection of five wine cask finished whiskeys was used for this release, including Sherry, Port, Madeira, White Burgundy and Cabernet Sauvignon.
My tasting notes 📝
Nose. Fruity with Vanilla, Spice and Nuts.
Palate. Shortbread, Ginger, Mango and Lime
Finish. Medium with Clove, Pear and Honey.
Brimming with fruit, this Teeling Single Malt provides refreshing, crisp and delicious tropical notes such as Grapefruit and Pineapple. Next, a portion of seductive vanilla emerges which gives off a heavenly aroma. A lot of cinnamon spice provides a relaxing and fragrant smell. Ultimately a delicate walnut note offers an earthy and slightly citrusy aroma.
Desirable shortbread notes introduce a lot of buttery, rich sweet sugar flavours to the whiskey. Additional spice from ginger adds excitement and warmth. Next, there's a tartness and a slightly floral flavour of ripe mango. After time, notes of zingy lime zest begin to appear and enhance the character of the whiskey.
The medium finish has a lot more spice; clove spice to be exact. There's also some fresh and clean fruit notes coming through from pear that offer in sweet and juicy notes. An intensely rich and buttery honey flavor completed the tasting.
My opinion 🗣 - A very accessible Irish Single Malt whiskey. It's complex, robust and definitely one worth checking out! I love it!
