Tamdhu Dedication Society Members to Decide Next Release

Tamdhu Single Malt Scotch Whisky is offering members the chance to decide on its next Dedication Society Single Cask, to be released at the 2024 Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival.

To take part, Tamdhu connoisseurs from across the globe are invited to enter the Dedication Society ballot, of which a maximum of 20 guests will be randomly selected to taste a series of carefully selected single casks and ultimately choose the flavours and characteristics of the future expression.

The ballot has opened today, and is only open to members of Tamdhu’s Dedication Society. The society is for those who appreciate the deep, rich flavour of Tamdhu’s exclusively sherry cask whisky.

The lucky few will be invited to attend a full day tasting event at the Tamdhu distillery in Aberlour.  Along with a full tour of the distillery and a sumptuous lunch, the day will culminate with the sampling of four carefully selected Single Casks in a tasting guided by Distillery Manager, Sandy McIntyre.

Upon launch of the expression in May next year, those part of the selection panel will be provided with the first opportunity to purchase a bottle, a sure to be sought after dram following their involvement in the cask selection.

In August 2022, the Tamdhu Dedication Society convened to select the society’s 2023 single cask bottling with sixteen members from across the globe in attendance. The group was unanimous in its selection of a first-fill European oak sherry hogshead from 2004.

Only 276 bottles of the Dedication Society Single Cask 2023 were available to purchase and the 2024 bottling will be limited too.

Sandy McIntyre, Tamdhu Distillery Manager, said: “Each year I look forward to working with our Dedication Society members. The day itself is a special and memorable experience for all involved.

”We're excited to open the ballot to our members and come together to decide on a truly worthy dram. I would encourage our loyal Tamdhu Family to enter the ballot and take part, it is an opportunity like no other and I can't wait to see what our Dedication Society Single Cask 2024 will be.”
