Cheers to Ten Years: Glengoyne's Cask Strength Batch No. 10 Takes the Spotlight

Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky has announced the latest instalment of its coveted Cask Strength series. Batch No. 010 marks one decade of the limited annual release.

As Scotland’s slowest distilled malt, Glengoyne is renowned for its gloriously sweet, fruity spirit. Batch No. 010 is bottled at the strength it emerges from the cask.

Maturation in a combination of American and European oak, comprising First-Fill Oloroso Sherry, Bourbon, and Refill Casks results in a rich, indulgent and fruity whisky that truly brings the Glengoyne signature style to life.

On the nose, Batch No. 10 provides fresh, crisp apple with juicy blackberries and pink peppercorn topped with toasted almonds and a sprinkling of dried coconut. To taste, decadent, vanilla custard slices, touches of crème brulee and baked pears with lemon peel and hints of sherry oak. To finish, the latest cask strength has a long, lingering end with honey and refreshing citrus.

Batch No. 010 has an ABV of 59.2% and delivers an undiluted and uninterrupted dram typical of the Highland distillers’ signature style.

Upon launch, the new dram has been awarded a Gold Medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2023 - a fitting tribute to a milestone bottling.

Katy Muggeridge, Brand Director at Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “Each of the ten iterations in the Cask Strength series has showcased the much-loved Glengoyne signature style – rich, sweet, and fruity.

“Batch. 010 is no exception - boasting notes of apple, berries, pink peppercorn and creme brulee. It’s a fitting dram to mark one decade of the series and we’re delighted to see it already picking up accolades.”

Glengoyne Cask Strength Batch No. 10 (59.2% ABV) is priced at RRP £85 and available globally through specialist retailers, the Glengoyne Distillery and via the Glengoyne website.
