Tamdhu announces seventh edition of It's award-winning Batch Strength Series
Tamdhu Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky has announced the latest edition to its multi-award-winning ‘Batch Strength’ series.
Batch Strength 007 is bottled un-chillfiltered at 57.5% ABV, and has a rich, natural copper hue as a result of full maturation in Oloroso sherry seasoned casks from the bodegas of Jerez, Spain.
On the nose you’re met with a subtle waft of vanilla sponge, followed by spicy cinnamon and roasted praline. The luxurious, thick mouthfeel is complimented by a decadent pavlova filled with luscious raspberries. A drop of water unveils caramel apricots with a wave of oak spice, and a zingy lemon punch.
On the lengthy and lingering finish, warm oak spices give way to baked figs and evident sherry flavours, which ascend to meet the freshly peeled clementine.

Tamdhu has collected numerous accolades as a result of the Batch Strength series. Earlier this year, Batch Strength No. 006 took home the ‘Gold’ award in the ‘No Age Statement’ category at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. This award came after a successful 2020/2021 in which Batch No. 005, scooped a ‘Gold’ at The Spirits Business Luxury Masters, and a ‘Double Gold’ at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
